BSP Trash to Treasure Sculpture Festival
Plastic pollution has become a global issue.
Worldwide, one million plastic drinking bottles are purchased every minute, and around 60 million plastic bags are used every half an hour. One third of the plastic produced escapes waste collection systems, ending up in our streets and the natural environment.
The BSP Trash to Treasure Sculpture Festival holds recycling drives by building creative larger than life artworks of animals and themes made from the recycle materials (Plastics, canned tins, rubber, etc...) which encourages students from schools to participate and visit the sculptures at the Port Moresby Nature Park and learn about the importance of Rethinking, Reusing, Recycling our rubbish in the environment.
