Paying for government services has just become easier, faster, and more secure in PNG on the Department of Finance (DoF) website.

The latest enhancement sees BSP’s Internet Payment Gateway (IPG) now integrated into the Department of Finance’s Customer Portal, providing a secure online card payment option in addition to BSP Pay. This means customers can now use their VISA Debit card to pay for selected government services directly from the DoF website, from anywhere, at any time.

Speaking at the announcement, BSP Group General Manager – Retail Bank, Mr Ronesh Dayal, said the enhancement reflects BSP’s ongoing commitment to improving customer experience through digital innovation.

“This next phase expands on what we started in May 2023 with the launch of BSP Pay and the rollout of GoPNG electronic receipts. Now, with BSP IPG integrated, customers can choose to pay with a bank card or through BSP Pay—and get an instant receipt via email or SMS. It’s fast, secure, and eliminates the need to visit physical counters. This is a major step toward a more modern and responsive public service,” Mr Dayal added.
