BSP Financial Group denies false reports of arrest

Monday, March 10, 2025

BSP Financial Group Limited strongly denies claim regarding the alleged arrest of Group Chief Risk Officer, Mike Hallinan.

BSP Group CEO Mark Robinson said “we completely deny the false and misleading reports currently circulating on social media regarding the alleged arrest of Mr Mike Hallinan. The claims suggesting that Mr Hallinan has been arrested and charged by the Australian Federal Police are entirely untrue and without basis”.

“Mr Hallinan has not been arrested, charged, or implicated in any of the alleged offenses mentioned in these false reports. The spread of such misinformation is highly irresponsible and has the potential to cause unwarranted harm.”

Mr Robinson further urged media outlets, the public, and stakeholders to verify information and ensure the source is credible before sharing any claims.

“Any defamatory statements or misleading reports may be subject to appropriate legal action,” he added.
