BSP Financial Group Limited is celebrating a remarkable people milestone – recognising 42 dedicated employees who together have contributed more than 1,000 years of service to the bank.
This year, 36 employees reached 25 years of service and six reached 40 years, representing a combined total of 1,165 years of commitment to BSP, its customers, and the communities it serves.
BSP Group CEO, Mark Robinson, in honouring the dedication, described the employees as “the true strength and secret ingredient” of BSP on Tuesday 19th August, 2025, in Port Moresby.

“Everyone being celebrated plays a special role in the history of BSP. Some of you 25 year awardees have lived through defining chapters such as the BSP-PNGBC merger in 2002, the Colonial Bank acquisition in Fiji in 2009, and the Westpac acquisition across five Pacific countries in 2015 and 2016. Regardless of when you joined, what has always remained constant is your dedication to the communities where we operate,” Mr Robinson said.
Amongst the 42 dedicated staff are David Aisoli in Lae, Rita Singut in Kundiawa, Imelda Maingu in Wewak, Siuli Aiono and Epeli Racule in Samoa and Viliame Varasikete in Fiji who all clocked 40 years of service. Mr Robinson extended his gratitude to the families of awardees.
“We know that behind every long-serving employee is a family that has supported them through late nights, missed moments, and many sacrifices. To the spouses, children, and families who have stood by our staff – you are just as much a part of this achievement as they are. Tonight, we celebrate you as well.”
