About the Role
The role is based in Port Moresby and reports directly to the Manager Payments Switch Projects. The successful incumbent is responsible to liaise with the vendors for software changes and fixes, provide assistance to the testing of changes, and implement changes and fixes into the test, production and DR systems for software/security enhancement.
Key Deliverables
- Provide competent technical expertise and advice, develop processes and procedures to ensure supported Postilion and Euronet delivery channels meet or exceed the agreed Service Level Agreements operational levels.
- Coordinate and manage implementation of permanent payment channels’ solutions and improvements to BSP Card Payment applications.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans with regards to payment channels requirements.
- Develop, maintain accurate technical documentation of ATMs, IPG and POS payment applications and other surrounding systems.
- Provide technical support to Payments Test team in the completion of their tasks to setup and execute project related testing.
- Train and equip Payments Switch Project team as well as Retail, CS, and Payments Switch Support team with hands-on skills related to ATM, POS and IPG, FINSIM and Vynamic View.
- Ensure all assigned tasks are completed accurately & efficiently, within the periods defined by the relevant Project Plan, Request for Change or Incident SLA. Ensure Change, Incident and Problem Management processes and procedures are followed and adhere to standards.
- Configure, develop scripts, execute tests and provide test environment support to Payment Test Team.
- Establish and take part in the automation of payment channel testing scripts by leveraging existing tools such as FINSIM, VTS, UL tool, MasterCard simulators, UPI and NTS.
Essential Qualifications, Professional/Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology.
- Strong technical knowledge of ATM hardware, including components, interfaces, and communication protocols.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including the ability to diagnose and repair hardware malfunctions.
- Knowledge of banking operations, EMV standards, and POS systems.
- Working knowledge of windows servers and computer networks.
- Good understanding of payments industry particularly AUTHORIZATION, ATM & POS terminal, Driving and Switching.
- Good Understanding of EFT message Protocol ISO8583.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office suite of applications.
- Should have basic SQL knowledge.
- At least 5 years’ experience in supporting payment channels.
- 2 years’ experience in Supporting Postilion and/or ITM Switch
