Purpose of the Role
BSP is seeking a seasoned Operations Manager – Tactical Services to lead and maintain the operational capacity of our Tactical Services team. This role ensures a safe and secure environment for BSP staff and customers, protects assets and information, and responds effectively to incidents impacting the bank.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct ongoing analysis of Tactical Services staffing and structure
- Review and update SOPs to reflect current risk and security environments
- Audit operational capabilities to ensure service standards
- Ensure compliance with insurance and regulatory requirements
- Maintain effective communication and incident management systems
- Lead incident response and command operations when required
- Promote a culture of supervision, support, and behavioral compliance
- Mentor and develop subordinate staff
- Manage Executive Protection and Quick Reaction Force (QRF) functions
- Maintain a personal diary of daily duties
- Perform other duties as directed by BSP management
Qualifications, Technical Skills, Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Policing, or related field
- Diploma in Police or Military Studies or Cadet Officer (PNG)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Certifications in Adult Learning, Training, Administration, HR Soft Skills
- Strong oral and written English and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Deep understanding of PNG statute law, compliance, and security industry
- Intermediate knowledge of banking regulations and BSP policies
- Tactical training, fraud investigation skills and weapons competence
- 10+ years in policing, military, or security operations and management
