About the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Branch Network, the National Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and managing sales activities across Branch Network covering all retail product portfolio and support deliver key deliverables. They are also responsible for driving branch sales targets, acquiring and retaining new customers, and ensuring delivery of excellent customer service. The National Sales Manager will support HoBN provide leadership and guidance to Area Managers and Branch Managers, develop sales concepts/model/strategies and implement.
Key Deliverables:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve branch targets.
- Monitor branch sales performance and guide the sales team.
- Identify sales opportunities and develop action plans.
- Conduct sales meetings and provide team training.
- Collaborate with departments to support sales efforts.
- Develop strategies to acquire and retain consumer lending customers.
- Identify and engage potential retail consumer lending clients.
- Conduct needs assessments and offer suitable banking solutions.
- Monitor consumer lending portfolio performance and take corrective actions.
- Stay informed on market trends and competitor offerings.
- Build and maintain relationships with housing developers and corporate clients.
- Serve as primary contact for key consumer lending clients.
- Collaborate internally to offer customized client solutions.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
- Build collaborative teams across SBUs and BUs to meet sales goals.
- Conduct regular client meetings and provide proactive support.
- Lead and support the branch sales team.
- Set performance targets and provide feedback.
- Conduct training to improve product knowledge and sales skills.
- Promote a positive work environment and resolve team issues.
- Prepare and analyze sales reports and market trends.
- Identify improvement areas and develop action plans.
- Report regularly to the Regional Sales Manager on sales and portfolio performance.
Essential Qualifications, Professional/Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in branch sales, with focus on SME banking.
- Proven experience in a managerial role (e.g. Area Manager).
- Strong knowledge of SME banking, banking products, and services.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and managing SME portfolios.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in essential business software and tools.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
