Purpose of the Role
BSP is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Business Analyst to support the accurate and timely preparation of regulatory reports and financial statements. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with BPNG requirements and internal policies, particularly in areas such as foreign exchange, liquidity, capital adequacy, and financial risk metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory reports to BPNG, including:
- Foreign Exchange Exposure Reports (Forms B, C, C-1, C-2)
- Deposit Money Bank Reports (ODCD, ODCD Movement, DMBDi)
- Foreign Currency Loans and Cheque Accounts Listings
- Monthly and Quarterly Statements (ODC01–ODC09)
- Reconcile Cash Reserve Accounts and execute mirror entries in BSP systems (Flexcube)
- Prepare Market Share Analysis reports for internal senior management
- Assist in BFC Call Report and Non-Performing Loans (NPL) reporting
- Support the preparation of BSP Financial Group’s annual financial statements
- Monitor the Securities Portfolio for compliance and accuracy
- Liaise with BPNG and other stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure regulatory alignment
- Develop and automate reporting processes using Excel (Power Query, Macros), SQL, Python, and M
- Provide audit support and resolve internal queries with clear communication and problem-solving
Qualifications, Technical Skills, Experience
- Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, IT, or Mathematics
- Advanced Excel skills including Macros and Power Query
- Basic to intermediate SQL and Python for report development
- Strong understanding of financial ratios and compliance requirements
- Intermediate analytical and risk management skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage large datasets
- 1–3 years in SQL report writing, macro development, financial modelling, or advanced Excel
- 1–3 years of experience in balance sheet analysis and financial reporting
