About the Role
This role is based in Port Moresby and reports to the Group Head of Compliance System and Optimization. The successful applicants will be responsible to administer systems, provide technical solutions and tools in relation to BSP’s AML Programs.
Key Deliverables
- Assist with developing and implementing a risk-based AML/CTF transaction and watch-list monitoring program.
- The primary responsibility is to perform sanction purging and updating of rules on sanction watch list application and maintaining records of all rule changes.
- Refining and tuning of OFSAA thresholds and parameters and perform administration roles.
- Maintain, modify and update in-house built customer transaction monitoring tools.
- Provide technical support to Transaction Monitoring and KYC team, ensure that the systems are efficiently and effectively utilized by the Business Unit.
- Assist with the AML/CTF System and Application risk assessment process ensuring that the AML/CTF System and Application risks are appropriately identified and assessed.
- Assist in preparing and managing reports & dashboards on regular basis appropriate timely management information on compliance and regulatory issues to management.
- Assist with preparing and coordinating ad-hoc reports on AML/CTF compliance developments as required.
- Report any incidents that occur as a result of a direct loss or near miss caused by failure in the systems, people, and processes or from external event.
- Assist in maintaining the AML technical support procedures properly documented and updated on a regular basis.
- Assist in maintaining the AML Systems and Applications functionality are properly documented and updated on a regular basis.
- Liaise with BSP IT Team for rule updates, purges, watch list addition, and on OFSAA FCCM issues.
Essential Qualifications, Professional/Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Information Systems Technology/or Business Management.
- Proficient in oral and written communication.
- Proficient in MS Applications and Oracle.
- Has strong analytical skills including business analytics, data architecture and data science.
- Ability to organize and analyse complex data sets.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of banking products and services.
- Basic understanding of regulatory compliance.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a financial institution with specific exposure in an area related to data analysis, risk management, operational risk, compliance or quality assurance.
