PNG JiveMarket recently collaborated with Bank South Pacific (BSP) e-Commerce family in offering online payments via their website to reach their customers nationally.

JiveMarket is a local mobile phone app that allows users to buy and sell online. It provides individuals, vendors and businesses an alternative platform to order and purchase products and services.

Since establishment in 2018, the business has expanded its reach to cover all provinces in PNG, collaborating with PNG Power to offer EasiPay tokens purchase, Digicel for Airtime Flex, Telikom and bmobile for mobile top-ups for consumption or reselling.

Local Entrepreneur and Owner of JiveMarket, Jaive Smare said, "This partnership with BSP is a blessing for us and our customers, as they can now use their credit cards to purchase services online through the JiveMarket app. We have found that many Papua New Guineans living overseas are using the service to purchase EasiPay and mobile phone top-ups for their families in PNG. For Jivers, it is a handy alternative if they can't find their normal distributor in time."

While cash, EFTPoS and other methods of payment remain dominant, the growth in customer appetite for convenient online payments has businesses across segments, adopting e-Commerce technology. E-Commerce technology enables businesses to provide an automated self-service experience from ordering through to making payments.

Jivers can now log onto the website https://order.jivemarket.com/ or search on Google Play for the  OrderJiveMarket app and install, place an order and follow through to complete payment 24/7 using a BSP Visa Debit Card or other banks Visa and Mastercard® cards.

JiveMarket joins the network of service providers in BSP's e-Commerce Ecosystem that are driving the adoption of online payments. E-Commerce continues to revolutionise traditional ways of doing business and influence the behavior of the way customers pay for goods and services.

"I want to thank BSP for putting effort into establishing this payment gateway. I encourage many other SME's to reach out to BSP for this service", said Mr. Smare.

BSP encourages businesses to consider moving online and ensure there is support with every step of the on-boarding processes.

Businesses interested in setting up a payments page on their website can contact BSP through email servicebsp@bsp.com.pg and call BSP 3201212 or 70301212.
