Sangurap Elementary School in Wabag now has a renovated classroom & a new water tank for its students thanks to BSP.
Wabag branch is the first one to handover out of 45 projects set to deliver this year. Sangurap Elementary School chairman John Iamau praised the bank and its staff for their contribution and support which saw the job completed on time.
Iamau said we have a new water tank and this keeps our students within the school ground. They don't need to go to creeks to fetch drinking water. "More importantly with the renovated classrooms, our students are comfortable and enjoy the learning environment provided, for this we thank the staff for their initiative, time and effort."
The staff assisted in fitting V-Crimp on the wall, assembling the PVC pipes and gutters, fitting plywood for corridors and ceilings, cementing and aligning the footpaths, installing of window frames and painting the classroom.
BSP's Wabag's branch manager Theresa Pilamp, when handing over the project, said it was part of the banks culture to give back to the communities in which it operated.
