The staff and management of Coronation Primary School now have a better environment to work in thanks to BSP recently renovating the schools administration building.


The bank's Human Resources Strategic Business Unit conducted the renovation as part of their community project for 2016. Across BSP, all branches, and Strategic Business Units are involved in a community project, where staff volunteer time during weekends to assist.

The renovation involved replacing facia boards and posts, replacing rotten corridor walls and repainting the building. The team also placed a new notice board and erected benches in front of the office. Apart from these, they also did some general cleaning around the office.

BSP's General Manager, Human Resource Giau Duruba said the project is part of BSP's commitment to the communities it operates. "At BSP, we are not just a Bank and not just a Brand. We are people, we are culture, we are friends, and we are changing lives through our various Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. This is just one of many things we do throughout PNG," Mr Duruba said. 

The school's head teacher, Eli Auka was impressed and praised BSP for lending a helping hand, as the project was a timely boost for the school. "The renovation has certainly lifted the school's image and has boosts morale for both teachers and students and we are more confident in teaching and learning."
