IT'S all smiles from the four-time gold medal defending champions, the PNG National Women's Football Team to the Pacific Games 2019, as they received new soccer boots from Bank South Pacific (BSP) on Tuesday 2nd July, 2019, in Port Moresby.
In acknowledging the support from the bank, Team Manageress Roosje Suwae, said that the team was fortunate to have the backing of BSP days before the games. "We were in desperate need of soccer boots and therefore reached out to BSP who have come good with soccer boots for all players to the value of over K4,000.
BSP Head of Marketing & Public Relations Gorethy Semi, whilst presenting the soccer boots said: "The current team comprises of players from all regions in PNG, most of whom are unemployed and come from rural areas, and BSP is happy to be supporting the team at this time."
The all-female-managed team consists of Frederica Sakette, Head Coach, Margaret Aka, Assistant Coach, Susan Watpore, Kit Manager, and Suwae as Team Manager.
BSP also added additional items to the value of around K3,000 to assist the team in their training which included water bottles, hats, t-shirts and towels.
