The award has stringent criteria including Leadership, Strategic HR Focus, Continuous Improvement in Training and Development, Business Results and Corporate Social Responsibility. BSP has been awarded this prestigious award for the 4th consecutive year.
The awards recognise the growing significant role of human resource profession in all kinds of organisations like business, industry, public service, Non-Profit and Non-Government Organisations.
BSP General Manager Human Resources, Hari Rabura, when receiving the award thanked PNGHRI for the recognition and said the bank was proud to receive this prestigious award, which is based on best HR practices and industrial relations.
She acknowledged the support of a strong and vibrant Board and Executive Management team who believe in building skilled Papua New Guineans.
Ms Rabura explained that over the last several years, BSP has transformed itself into a modern, innovative and technology driven bank and is now focused on improving its sales and service capabilities and in order to achieve this, the bank is investing more into its greatest asset - its human resources.
BSP has over 4000+ employees spread across Papua New Guinea and the Pacific with a strong education, training, graduate and leadership development program, among others.
The bank has invested heavily in succession programs to develop Papua New Guinean staff that will become BSP's next generation of senior and executive managers and leaders.
