They will join thousands of school children throughout Papua New Guinea to clean up their school grounds and surrounding areas.
BSP Go Green Ambassador Rachael James and a Go Green team presented clean up kits to them today (19/09/12).
During presentation Ms James encouraged the school children to be more responsible in caring for the environment.
She said it starts by a simply disposing rubbish thoughtfully and not littering the streets.
The BSP Go Green theme for 2012 is "Don't Dump it, Bin It".
"If we all can do dispose our rubbish properly, our community, our streets, our homes will be a better place to live in," she urged.
She also had a word for grown ups.
"It start's by picking up just one piece of rubbish and disposing it thoughtfully and leading by example. We must educate our children, who are the future of this nation, to grow up to become responsible citizens," she added.
BSP is encouraging schools throughout PNG to join and clean up their school grounds this Friday.
Community groups, church groups, corporate organisations, government departments and NGOs are also encouraged to join us this Saturday for the Annual Community Clean Up.
Come in your corporate colours. We will provide bags and gloves.
BSP branch teams throughout PNG will be taking the streets on Saturday to clean up.
In Port Moresby BSP teams will be cleaning up along these main routes and litter hotspots.
If you have nothing better to do, please join us and together lets help clean up PNG and make it a greener, cleaner and healthier place.
