InterOil helps fuel BSP Go Green in Lae

InterOil as a responsible corporate citizen with a commitment to the environment and has thrown its support behind BSP's Annual Clean Up Days in Lae by providing 200ltrs of fuel for contractors trucks to collect rubbish after the clean up this Saturday.

InterOil's Business manager Marcellin Iko when handing the fuel drum over said "InterOil is pleased to be part of this year's GO GREEN CAMPAIGN with BSP as this campaign has a positive impact on our environment and the community as a whole in terms of hygiene and cleanliness. We also urge everyone to come out and support this worthy cause for a better and healthier community".

InterOil will also be participating in the clean up in Lae on Saturday. Schools in Lae will also be participating

BSP Go Green Ambassador's Veso Moenti and John Mandime who received the fuel drum today (19/09/12) thanked InterOil for the contribution and urged other corporate organisations and community teams to be part of the clean up this Saturday.

The Annual School Clean Up Day is this Friday September 21st and Community Clean Up day is Saturday September 22nd. This is the third year running, BSP has organised this nationwide even, supported by its extensive network. The theme for this year "Don't dump it, Bin It".

"We invite organisations to be part of it and join us and the community help clean up and fix up our environment. Come in your corporate colors and join the Go Green Clean up because your participation will also reinforce and help educate everyone in our community to change the way they care for their environment and be more responsible," they said.

BSP will be providing bio-bags and gloves.

The BSP annual clean up days, regarded as the biggest initiative of this nature, are part of the bank's Go Green campaign is aimed at addressing environmental issues that are of critical concern to its customers, communities and various stakeholders.
