BSP Corporate Sponsorship Manager Rosemary Mawe said bank staff visited the hospital, mainly the children's ward every Easter and Christmas to hand out gifts to patients and guardians.

"The children's ward is always first on our list and it's terrific to see the smiles on the faces of the sick kids.  And if we have a little extra we make sure brothers and sisters don't miss out either - or mum and dad, as it provides a little distraction for the family from their hospital stay," she said.

All the goodies are donated by BSP, including snacks, sweets, toiletries and BSP merchandise such as slippers, sun glasses, Frisbees and balloons, among others.

The Children's Wards visited by the BSP team include 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D & 2E.

And it was a pleasant surprise for the patients and their caregivers. Their faces lit up as the BSP team handed out the packs.

"At BSP we strive to strengthen local communities in which we live and work by supporting a range of causes from local schools to centres for people with disabilities, and take time to do such visits, it helps make a real and lasting difference," Ms Mawe added.

Sr Villah Wama, representing the wards and patients said "I would like to thank all the staff at BSP and the Bank management for their incredibly generous support. We are always so grateful for the support we receive from BSP as I know it makes a lot of difference."
