BSP is committed in promoting and encouraging foreign investment in PNG

BSP Group CEO Ian B Clyne says the bank is committed in promoting and encouraging foreign investment in Papua New Guinea, as such it has partnered with the Oxford Business Group in producing the 1st edition of the "PNG Report".

The PNG Report focuses on the nation's Economic outlook, PNG business and investment outlook, trade, librealisation initiatives and investment opportunities. Oxford Business Group (OBG) produces 33 annual reports in 29 countries, where its reports are regularly cited in the Financial Times, BBC, the Economist and other leading media outlets, as it is a globally recognised and respected source of business intelligence in many parts of the world.

Mr Clyne who officiated at the launch of the book today (05/09/12) said "BSP agreed to partner with the OBG in producing and promoting the 1st edition of the PNG Report because we very much understand the need and value in promoting PNG and ourselves internationally".

"Both Oxford and BSP are committed in promoting and encouraging foreign investment in PNG. I would like to congratulate Oxford Business Group and all businesses and people who contributed to the publication and express BSP's pride in being a PNG owned bank and supporting this worthy initiative," he said.

He said PNG is a young nation with immense wealth and opportunities for international business and investments, and reiterated the importance of promoting PNG as a nation in a professional and favourable light, as stressed by the Prime Minister on his return from the Pacific Forum.

BSP not only supports publications, events and activities that promoted PNG, but also undertakes several international road shows each year to Asia, Australia and across the Pacific to promote both the Bank and PNG.

Michael Benson, Chairman of the Oxford Business Group thanked BSP for its partnership in producing the Report PNG 2012.
