The new functionality on BSP's Mobile Banking brings greater convenience to customers who can now top up their EasiPAY meter directly from their bank accounts via SMS. This can be done at the luxury of their home, office or while on the go, 24 hours a day and seven days a week.
BSP Group CEO, Ian B Clyne said this partnership was a perfect fit with the bank's commitment in delivering convenient and innovative banking solutions for its customers.
PNG Power CEO Tony Koiri, Digicel PNG CEO John Mangos and Telikom acting CEO Charles Litau joined Mr Clyne today (01/05/12) in Port Moresby to make the announcement.
"With this new service customers do not need to go to a physical location to purchase a voucher for their EasiPAY meter as they have the ability to do this from wherever they maybe directly from their bank accounts. There is no need for cash and no queues," Mr Clyne explained.
With BSP Mobile Banking customers can also check account balances, transfer funds, top up Digicel mobile phone and 3G broadband modem and check transactions.
"BSP is committed to make banking easier and more convenient than ever before. We do this by providing the latest online and mobile banking facilities, more branches, 1000s of EFTPoS facilities and hundreds of ATMs - more than any other bank in the South Pacific," Mr Clyne said.
