BSP launched two new Automatic Telling Machines (ATM) last Friday (15/06/12), as part of its nationwide roll-out and brings the nationwide total to 235.
The 234th ATM was opened in Kokopo at the Papindo Supermarket at Takubar while the 235th was opened at the University of Technology in Lae.
BSP ATM channel manager, Nelson Kerua, said the roll-out is part of the bank's commitment to making banking easier, convenient and accessible for its customers.
"BSP customers can use an ATM to check balances, withdraw cash, get phone credits, obtain mini-statements, transfer funds and even change their PIN numbers among others" he said.
He also urged customers to use electronic channels. For example, customers can transfer money (ATM, Mobile Banking), buy food (EFTPoS), get cash for PMV fares or the market (ATM, EFTPoS), and Top-Up their mobile phones or EasiPAY meters (ATM, Mobile Banking). These transactions are cheaper than visiting a branch.
BSP has more ATMs (235+), EFTPOS facilities (5,700+) and other Electronic Channels than other banks and is encouraging its customers to use them because they are cheap, convenient and easy.
